Tackle it Tuesdays

I try not to consider myself a hoarder but when it comes to things my son does in school I loose all control! Its so hard to decide what piece of handwriting or art work to throw away and what you should save especially when its pre-k school work. All last school year I just threw everything in to a plastic file container and FILLED it! Now I would just leave it but if I did that every year for both boys it would take uo half my attic. I came up with this great idea to use accordion folders and label them with each school year and child's name. the to store the folders I will use the file container for all 13 years.....hopefully. Some day when they are grown I can look back on their memories in a somewhat organized fashion:)

Tackle it Tuesday

My nesting must be kicking in. I woke up early and decided my closet was out of control and it couldn't wait. I try so hard to be organized but I am just not an organized person. This Tuesday my tackle was our master closet..........

I know that it is unnecessary for anyone to have so many shoes.

Before you gasp in horror, let me explain! These are my pre-prego and post prego pants thrown up in top of the closet.

That is just ridicules!!!!!!

I had to pull everything out and sort threw it......

And now for the finished product.........

MUCH BETTER!!!!!!

I just really hope I can keep it this way.

Tackle it Tuesday

My Tackle this week was my beloved pretty pink coupon binder!

I am so ashamed that I have let it get this out off hand, my coupons were piling up unclipped and my binder was filled with coupons that had expired in June SO BAD! I have no excuse for this, just pure laziness.

These are all my expired coupons WOW!

After a couple of hours clipping, sorting , and pulling I finally got it back in shape YEA!!! Hopefully now shopping for good deals will be allot easier :)

Tackle it Tuesday

I love Tackle it Tuesday because it forces me tho get stuff done. For this weeks Tackle I again had help from my super handy husband, thanks babe for my new improved utility room! Our Utility room is rather larger for having such a small house, I think it is one of the best features of our house because it can serve multiple purposes, not just laundry (I know this makes me sound like a big dork). We originally had only one shelf and a hanging rack in the utility room. We have lived in our house for 4 years and why we waited so long to add more shelves, I don't Know. With all the coupon shopping I do I have accumulated a rather large stock pile and it is going daily :) With lack of storage space we are forced to become more organized (another great impact being frugal has made on our lives).

Here is what the utility room storage looked like before....

First thing we had to do was clear off all crap uhh I mean stuff off the shelf, With Poopoos help of coarse.......

Then My incredibly Hot uhh I mean Handy Husband got busy building me some shelves........

Finally after painting it was time to load up my new shelves with all my great bargains......

Much Better!!!!!

Tackle it Tuesday

This Tuesday was a HUGE TACKLE! My sons closet was out of control! I have continued to pile stuff in there as he grows out of it. I also store all the diapers and wipes in his closet but with so much stuff crammed in there they were hard to get to. I decide it was time to Tackle this enormous project with my husbands help. I am a little embarrassed to show y'all the before picture.

(I Promise we are not messy people!)

First Thing was to Pull everything out of the closet... Then My Handy Man Built Poopoo some shelves...

WooHoo look what I found in all that mess.....

Then I sorted all that crap uhh I mean stuff....

Finally Finished.....

Yes you can actually see the floor.....

Tacke it Tuesday

Yet another week and another Tackle it Tuesday over at 5 Minutes for Mom. This weeks Tackle it Tuesday I decided it was time to organize my craft supplies. Inspired by a post at Comical Coupon Cents about her friends Scrapbook closet I got busy.........

I use to Keep all my craft supplies and gift wrap in our tiny hall closet. I had a Large Rubbermaid Drawer set that at one point was somewhat organized but over the years has gotten out of control. My first step was to pull all my craft stuff out of the closet.....

Then I had to sort threw all the stuff, I had not realized the amount of Craft supplies I had acquired until I started going threw it all. Not being able to clearly see my supplies each time I started a new project I would buy the same stuff over and over again. Now that I am organized I can see what I have and where everything is. I am super excited about the way it turned out.....

I purchased this book shelf at Walmart for only $27. The Storage bins were 2/$11 at Target and all the other organizing tools were $3 or less at Target.

Tacke it Tuesday

After taking last Tuesday off I was super pumped to tackle this project......

Organizing my coupons & Sale Ads!

I saw a post on Keeping the Kingdom First about her coupon binder and it inspired me to make my own binder. The organizing system I was using was a big red tub where I keep sale ads and coupons that I had not clipped or ones the I clipped but had not filed and I had a small binder with several tabs and playing card holders for sorting and filing. As you could imagine this system didn't work! I was so excited when I saw Alyssa video post about her coupon binder, her system of organizing is easy easy easy!
