Monkey Takes a Trip to the Zoo

Today we meet Paxton's buddies at the Zoo....Poopoo loved the lion and didn't want to leave him........All three boys favorite part was feeding the birds...

We had so much fun and left right before it started to storm. Who would of thought back in high school when us girls were running around causing trouble that someday we would be watching our boys do the same :)

Just Another Prenatal Visit

Today I went in for yet another prenatal visit, third trimester means every two weeks at the Ob. Everything measured perfectly, heartbeat sounds great, blood pressure good, and my weight will stay undisclosed. The doctor also told me that he was going to do an ultrasound in 4 weeks to check the position of the baby since I am at risk for preterm. I cant wait to see how much he has grown:)

This is my big white belly at 31 weeks......

A Sneak Peek

I am so excited! Today my handy hubby started hanging the tin roofing in the baby's barn themed room. It is looking so awesome........

He was only able to hang a couple of pieces of tin, we accidentally purchased two different types of tin roofing. Some of the tin had a textured look and some had a shinny smother finish. I was a little disappointed that we weren't able to finish today but not nearly as disappointed as my hubby is that he will have load up the mismatched tin and return it to Home Depot.

Snake!!!!

Yesterday Poops and Dadda were in the backyard when they discovered this....
"Snake"

LOL silly boy!!!

A Place for my Fridge Pics

My fridge is covered in pictures. I love love love pictures! I decided to make a cute way to display my photos on my fridge.....

Before
I took a Diaper box and cut off one side of the box, then covered the front with two layers of batting........

Then I covered the front of the box in fabric and took ribbon and cris crossed it. Using thumb tacks I secured the center of each crossed ribbon. Then I glued a smaller piece of the box to the back side and placed magnet stripes across it.....

It turned out pretty cute and looked allot less cluttered....

Sweet Baby Girl!

I know I have been MIA, this week has been a very busy week. This week we took a road trip to Houston to see my precious 2 week old niece Kyla. I cant believe how much she has changed in just 2 weeks. You forget how tiny new baby's are, its hard to believe that Poops was once that little. It make me really anxious for baby Ian to be here!
Kyla loved her Aunt April! I got to feed her and hold her. She even fell asleep on my chest, rested comfortably on top of my Buddha belly :)
I love her so much and already miss her!

And of coarse Poops found a way to keep busy.........

Making it Work Monday

Tonight I stared into our pantry for what seemed like hours trying to figure out what to fix for dinner. I am totally trying to avoid making a trip to the grocery store, this is forcing me to be creative. I know there are many of you just like me with a pantry full of food but nothing to eat.
I decided to put together my own recipe and this is what I came up with.......

I had a quarter bag of Veggie Pasta and a quarter bag of Penna Pasta that I boiled.
Then in a separate pan I sauteed a can of Tyson chicken breast chunks in olive oil and minced garlic.
After the noodles where cooked I placed them in a casserole dish and covered it in a half a jar of Ragu tomato sauce I had left over from making spaghetti last week.
I mixed in the sauteed chicken,
Topped it with mozzarella cheese.
Finally baking it in the oven at 350 until the cheese was completely melted.

It was so so so yummy!!!!

Even my little man liked it :)

Making Use of a Rainy Week

I know, I know you are all tired of hearing about the baby's room. It has done nothing but rain and has been so cold the last three days and I have been stuck in doors. I made use of my rainy days by working on a few projects for the nursery........
My first project was this picture frame to show off Mini Poops first baby pictures.

I bought a $4 craft frame, scrape book paper, & paint. I used Mod Podge to glue the paper to the frame and then seal over the top of the frame. I wrote a sweet little saying on the front of the frame, which would look better if I didn't write like a first grader.......

Then I hung up my farmer sign I made a couple weeks ago, a star that I got from my super sweet next door neighbor, and a black tin shelf that use to be in Paxtons room......

My favorite project so far is the baby's name. I use fabric backed with card board and cutout the letters o his name. I then used hemp ropes and clothes pins to hang the letters. I hung the rope on the crib just to take a picture it will eventually go above the crib on the tin wall.

I moved Paxtons rocking chair in the baby's room so when I was in the nursery with Ian he could sit next to us. I thought it would be cute to make a pillow for the rocking chair to match the room....

I used a old pillow I had laying around the house and some extra fabric I had left over from the letters.....

Again using left over fabric from the letter I decided to cover some cloth diapers to match the room and placed them in the bucket I purchased for my homemade cookie Bouquet.....

Next I went to work on this super cheap $10 lamp I purchased at Walmart........I covered the shade with fabric then trimmed in it with some fuzzy fridge......

I also spray painted these iron star hooks that I am going to use as curtain rod holders. I would of gone ahead and hung the curtains but since it is not a good idea for my big fat pregnant butt to be up on a ladder I decided to wait and let my hubby do it......The last two things I didn't make but I am so excited about because they match his room perfect. I bought this super cute cow hamper at a Lonestar Baby for only $15. I LOVE IT!!!!!This Little people barn is probably the coolest thing in his whole room. Its is a special edition set that is made to look vintage. I first saw this in Parents magazine and was going to order it but when I was at Target the other day I found this one.... I am sooooo excited about his vintage barn toy !!!!Everything is really coming together so cute! Believe it or not I still have tons to do, I just cant wait for that final finishing detail ,Baby Ian!

Babys First Pictures

Today I went to have a 3D ultrasound done. I have been so excited about this ultrasound it is amazing that you get to see your sweet baby's face before they get here.
Ian is such a beautiful boy, I had to hold back the tears when I saw his sweet face........

Its hard to tell who he will look like but I do see he has my chin. I cant wait to kiss those sweet little lips, only 10 weeks to go!!!!!

Wordless Wednesday

"Parting is such Sweet Sorrow"

I think Paxton might be having second thoughts about giving his crib to his baby brother!

Busy Busy Day!!!!

Today was a very busy day for me.
I started the day with my 29 week doctors appointment. I am now officially in my third trimester which means from here until my last month I will go every 2 weeks. Woohoo counting down! This visit was just a normal prenatal check, nothing to exciting just belly measuring, peeing in a cup, and listening to the heartbeat (OK that's kinda exciting). I made the mistake of looking down at the scale when the nurse weighed me. Wow I will not share with you what the scale said, lets just hope Ian is a big boy lol!
This is my big grey belly at 29 weeks :)
The busiest part of my day was working on the baby's room. My sweet sweet momma came over to help.

We put raised the baby's crib and dressed it with this oh so sweet bedding......

Then with a little team work (her doing most of the work) we painted the walls...

As you can see we decided to go with the dark brown or as my mother refers to it turd brown lol. I am so so glad we went with this color, I LOVE IT!!!! We painted 3 walls, the wall the crib is against is going to be covered in tin roofing.
I was going to finish the day by going to register at Target but I will save that for another day, I am Pooped:)
