Tackle it Tuesday

My nesting must be kicking in. I woke up early and decided my closet was out of control and it couldn't wait. I try so hard to be organized but I am just not an organized person. This Tuesday my tackle was our master closet..........

I know that it is unnecessary for anyone to have so many shoes.

Before you gasp in horror, let me explain! These are my pre-prego and post prego pants thrown up in top of the closet.

That is just ridicules!!!!!!
I had to pull everything out and sort threw it......

And now for the finished product.........

I just really hope I can keep it this way.

The Answer is Revealed....

I know you are all just going crazy with suspense. Last week we went for my 18 week doctors visit and THE SONOGRAM! Not only was I super excited to find out the sex of the baby but I just wanted to see anything that resembled a little human life. So without dragging out your anticipation for to long I will start by sharing my little Peanuts precious feet......

Is that not the cutest thing you have ever seen! OK! OK!., I will continue. Now for the money shot........

For those of you who are scratching your head, let me explain. You are looking at two cherries and a stem. That's right another precious baby boy :)

CVS I'm Back!!! Well Sort of....

2 hours before my $24 in Extra Care bucks expired I decided to run into CVS not let them go to waste. Exactly 30 days ago my hubby went to CVS to pick up my prenatal vitamins and walked out of there with $24 in ECBs. He was so excited about the bucks he had received even thought he spent $70 to get them, I think he figured it might motivate me to get back in the game. Tonight without a game plan or a single coupon this is how my return to CVS went down......

2 Colgate Totals $2.99 each
1 Crest 2 pack $5.99
1 Folgers Decaf $5.79
1 Sponge Bob Power toothbrush $6.99
1 CVS Face Wash $4.79

Total Value $31.43
Total OOP $5.54
Total Saved $25.80
earned $2, $2, $2, $4 ECBs
I should of earned a total of $11 in ECBs but they shorted me $2 ECB for one of the Colgate's and I didn't realize it until I got home:( In all I think it was a good unplanned trip that has got me itching for a little more CVSing, next time with a game plan and coupons:)~

Holy Sweet Potatoes Batman

One of my favorite plants is the Sweet Potato Vine. I love Sweet Potato vines big colorful leafs and it makes a great filler for low maintenance flower beds. Since I have two black thumbs this plant works great for me. The only down fall about Sweet Potato Vines is that it is so so so hardy if your not careful it can take over your whole flowerbed and when you go to remove it from your bed it leaves actual Sweet Potatoes in the soil that you have to dig out. Well this year I went to dig out my vine from the flower bed and I came across some massive sweet potatoes.

These definitely don't look appetizing but they have to win some award for size!

A Homemade Gift From the Heart

My sweet, super talented little boy painted Christmas ornaments for his Grandparents this year (I hope they aren't reading this). I purchased all the ceramic ornaments at Hobby Lobby, my favorite store! Hobby Lobby had tons of fun cheap craft ideas for the holidays.
Poopoo really enjoyed painting all the ornaments, we laid all six ornaments out on newspaper and painted using color at a time. It was so much fun! We will definitely do something like this again.

Here is the finished product. Aren't these the most beautiful Christmas ornaments you have ever seen? I hope all the Grandparents love them. Who wouldn't?

Pray for Pink or a good return policy!

So I might of totally Jinxed myself but i couldn't resit! For the past couple months I have had my eye on this super cute crib bedding at Babies"R"us. Its made by Wendy Belissimo and it is pink, black and white with a medallion print. For some crazy reason Babies"R"us has decided to not carry Wendy Belissimo anymore so the bedding was being discontinued and had been marked clearance. Every time I went into Babies"R"us I would check to see how many bedding sets were left hoping they wouldn't sell out before I found out the sex of my little peanut. Long story short I went in last week and they had one set left so I decided what the heck I bought it. I got home pulled it out of the package and held it up to the crib "SOOO PRECIOUS". I am already totally attached to this set so keep your fingers crossed for me:)

Yes I am still alive!!!

I know some might have wondered what has happened to me, Where have I been? I have taken a little break from the blogging and coupon world. I have not clipped a coupon in probably 3 months and still have enough shampoo to last me threw July of next year LOL! Everything is Ok with the baby He/She? is growing fast and I started to feel some movement this week:) I am still a little sick but slowly regaining my energy. I find out what I am having on the 22nd of this month, I cant wait!!! What an awesome Christmas present.
As for couponing I am not sure if I will get back into the game anytime soon, its kinda like working out once you stop its hard to get back into it. I do miss that adrenaline rush you get from paying $2 for $50 worth of stuff but I don't miss clipping and sorting. Thank you for everyone who has expressed concern.

Bursting at the Seams with Joy!!!

OMG!!!! This is one of my most favorite pair of Jeans. They are Paris Hilton Jeans that I bought at this little boutique at my work, they were originally $130 but thank god I bought them on sale and only paid $30. I am a very petite person I were a size 1 or 0 usually ( I come from a long line of miniature people). This week I will be 10 weeks prego and unlike my first child with this pregnancy I have been extremely sick so I have not gained any weight yet although I am pooching out a bit.
This morning I was getting ready for work and I decided that I would wear my beloved Paris Hilton Jeans one last time before they were packed away for a long time. These Jeans have always been a little tight so when I put them on I have to do the stretch squat to make them more comfortable. Well that is exactly what I did this morning except this time when I went to squat I heard RIIIPPPP!!. I took them off and saw that I had ripped a 12 inch seam in the ass. I am totally blaming this on the jeans of coarse Paris Hiltons Skinny ass has never been pregnant so her jean were not made to be durable. I did feel much better when I put on my size 0 Abercrombies and the fit like a glove(not a tight glove).

I have been feeling OK the Zofram really helps but I am still so tired and feel as though I am being sucked dry (must be a girl). I have been trying to take it easy, laying on the couch watching tons of Elmo. I still have not been to CVS, it has been almost 3 weeks WOW! We eat out allot I cant even think about preparing food and the smell NOT GOOD! Hopefully only a few more weeks of this and then I will be in my second Tri YEA!!!! Thanks again to all of you for sending your sweet comments of concern:)

My Miracle Drug!!!

So as you might of guessed I recently had my first prenatal visit. I was so excited about this visit not only because I was going to see my sweet little bean for the first time but it was my opportunity to plead for some sort a relief from this horrible nausea. With my son I had very little sickness and if I complained (which I am sure I did) I take it all back. With this pregnancy I am positive I must be having a girl, I have heard girls are more trouble and I am convinced that starts in the womb. So far Sick would be an understatement with this pregnancy. I thank god I am saved because I am sure this must be what Hell is like. I am talking non-funtioning people I have not been able to eat, drink and keeping the prenatal vitamins down. I weighed in yesterday at the Docs office 2Lbs under my regular weight, normally this would make me do a back flip but under the current circumstances this is not a good thing.
But wait there is a light at the end of this dark tunnel (besides a beautiful baby) a wonder drug called Zofram! Let me first just say I hate taking medicine not even Tylenol but after this past couple of weeks I am desperate. Zofram is given to Cancer patients to help with nausea. IT WORKS!!!! Today I was able to eat anything I wanted including some yummy candy one of my sweet clients brought me. I even came home cleaned my kitchen and moped the floor YAY! Now one of the side effects is drowsiness so of course with my profession and a 21 month old this made me a little stand offish, but I think since I have ADD it had the opposite effect on me, I even think tomorrow I will make a CVS run. Yea for modern medicine!!!!!
Yesterday I took Zofram in the morning felt great all day :) Then around 6:00 p.m. I took another one because I started to feel kinda crummy again. The side effect is supposed to be drowsiness UHH NO!!! I decided I would try and get to bed early around 9:30. I think I might have dosed off once but woke up with that wonderful urge to pee. So in short it is now 2:30 a.m. and I am wide awake. I will no longer take this medicine in the evenings :(

Thrifty Thursdays

A couple of weeks back was my beautiful nieces 3rd birthday. Instead of running to Toys"r"us to buy her a gift I decided I would make her present this year. I went to Target and purchased a pair of leggings and a long sleeve shirt for $9. I have tons of fabric that is just sitting on my craft shelf so I didn't need to purchase any:) I cranked up the sewing machine and this was my result.....

I was so pleased with the way it turned out, lets just hope it holds up!

The Best Toddler Shoe Ever!!!

I just thought I would share with you how awesome Vans shoes are for kids. I personally have never owned a pair of Vans for myself but my son is on his second pair. He didn't wear out the first pair he grew out of them. My Poopoo is a rough, Tricycle toe dragging, sandboxing, puddle jumping boy. He is extremely hard on his shoes. The pair we had before we bought his first Vans he destroyed before he grew out of them. What I love about Vans besides the fact that they are extremely durable the ones with the velcro are super easy to get on and off, they are great for a wider foot and they wash well. The cost is reasonable at about $25 a pair, visit Vans.com and check out all the fun colors and patterns.
Here are Poopoos old Vans, they can totally be used for the next baby!

So I know you have noticed my lack of postings. Extreme exhaustion from being a human oven has left me less than enthused when it comes to seeking out great deals maintaining my blog. I am not usually a napper but I now take a nap every single day. I know, I know I should take full advantage of the opportunity to sleep with number 2 on the way. Apparently having a 2 year old and a new born will make sleep a treasured memory. So please excuse my absence, this to shall pass. Alyssa over at Kingdom First also shares my struggles.

Small Family Save Money on Meat

Meat is the most expensive thing on our grocery list. We are only a family of 3, one of those three is only 20 months old. Before I was frugal I would make large portions and throw away what we didn't eat. We are not a leftover family we have tried but neither me nor my husband are fans of leftover food. Now that I am a super frugal chick I have been coming up with all kinds of ways to save money.
When I purchase my meat I always break it down in small portions before I freeze it. I bag everything in twos, when I purchase a 1lb. ground beef I cut it in half. The best way to freeze is by using vacuum bag, this helps prevent freezer burn. I use Ziploc Vacuum bags they are cheap and easy to use, Ziploc always has great coupons as well!

CVS Circular

I heard a rumor earlier this week that CVS would be switching back to publishing there store circular on Sunday instead of there recent change to Friday. This was a exciting rumor for me! Of coarse as with any rumor I don't like to believe it till confirmed by a reliable source. I got up this morning and went to CVS.com to check out this weeks new ad but when I typed in my zip code to get my local circular I was meet with this message....

We're sorry, there are no current Store Circulars at this time for this location. Please check the ZIP code you entered, or check back Sunday September 28 for Store Circulars for this location.

I entered my zip code several times to make sure it was not my mistake. It wasn't!! Can You say WOOHOO! I tried so hard to get adjust to the change of Sundays CVS Ad to Friday, it threw me off big time. I don't get the Friday paper so I was having to make a special trip each week to CVS just to pick up the circular. Thank you CVS if this means what I think it does for finally coming back to your senses :)

These are all my expired coupons WOW!After a couple of hours clipping, sorting , and pulling I finally got it back in shape YEA!!! Hopefully now shopping for good deals will be allot easier :)
