I am a Total Copy Cat!

I found this blog awhile back that I absolutely love. Martha at So Lovely Creations is so creative. She always has great ideas and even has her own store on Etsy.com. I saw a post awhile back about these cute little wall letters she made. Since I had a baby shower for my sister in law coming up I decided I would attempt to make them myself.

The first thing I did was lay out the letters and wooden plaques I purchased at Hobby Lobby (my favorite place)........

Next I painted half the letter Pink and have Tan (those are the colors of her nursery).....

Then using Scrape booking paper and Mod Podge I covered the front of the wooden Plaques.....

I glued the letters on the front on the plaque and decorated them with rhinestones. Then I stapled tulle ribbon to the back of each plaque to hang them......

And here is the finished product.........

SO CUTE!!!!

Of coarse I will probably never get to make anything for my kids using tulle and rhinestones but its fun to make for gifts!

Wordless Wednesday

This is my sweet and very spoiled 7 year old Chihuahua Princess Lillian. Yes her registered name is Princess, she goes by Lilly but she lives up to her first name believe me! Before I had kids Lilly was my baby, she went everywhere with me and had her very own wardrobe. I love my sweet Lilly girl!

Craftiness is in my Genes!

This past week my mom has been working on her kitchen pantry door. She painted the whole door in chalk board paint and wrote a neat recipe for life in chalk on the the front of the door, then sealed it so it wouldn't smudge. The neatest part is the inside of the pantry door isn't sealed so she can write little notes on it like her grocery list.

I turned out great! I wish I could do this to my pantry door but my door is paneled.

Poops & the Pac-n-Play

This weekend I registered for a bedside sleeper and my husband made the comment "why not just use the pac-n-play, isn't it the same thing". HMMM......The point of the bedside sleeper is that it is open on one side so it buts up right next to the bed that way when the baby wakes up in the middle of the night you can just reach over and pick him up without having of get out of bed.

My husband got me thinking, you know he is probably right why cant you just push the pac-n-play right next to the bed and have it serve the same purpose as the bedside sleeper.

So today I pulled out Poopoos old pac-n-play and assembles it to see if it would work the same. Of coarse it did, he is so smart sometimes! The funny part was that when I set up the pac-n-play Paxton just had to get in it. He played in his old pac-n-play for 20 minutes. Every time I asked him if he wanted to get out he said "no". He even insisted our Chihuahua Lilly needed in the pac-n-play as well :)

LOL he is so funny!

After dinner tonight I made rice crispy treats, I claimed they were a surprise for Poops. We all no real the truth!!!!!!!!!

They were a yummy surprise:)

Registered for Baby Boy #2

I originally didn't think I was going to register for baby boy #2 because I felt like I already had everything I would need. But after several of my clients asked where I was registered I felt like maybe I should just go and see if there was anything I might need.
Lets just say I found a few things I cant live with out and I thought it would be fun to share them with all of you.......

Ok its hard to tell in this picture exactly what this swing looks like, but it is super cute. Its turquoise and brown and it has the sweetest little owls I have ever seen hanging from the mobile. This is my #1 thing on my registry I want it soooo bad.

The next item that I cant live without is this sassy sling. I love anything red! I had a different type of sling with my first baby called the ultimate baby wrap. Me and my mom bought it from a specialty shop and when the sales girl wrapped her 2 year old daughter up in the baby wrap, I was sold! But when I got it home I wasn't as pleased. It had way to much material and wasn't easy to get on. I think this swing looks way easier to use and the fabric is so cute!

The next thing on my registry are these fancy wheels, I didn't get a ride this nice till I got a job......Now for those of you who know me personally will not be surprised about how much I love this next item on my registry. The baby's room is rustic barn themed. I have already purchased his bedding but not the matching mobile. I really think this mobile is what made me want this bedding in the first place, it has the cutest little roosters on it. I love Love Love roosters (I don't know why) but my husband always teases me that I have an obsession with cock lol!My final must have on my registry is this portable hand pump by Medela. The reason I decided on the hand pump is because I figured it would be easy to take to work. I will be renting a electric pump from the hospital to keep at home, but I wanted something that I could just throw in my purse and pump as needed. I read all the review on single pumps including the small battery operated pumps and this one got the best reviews. Bonus its way affordable so if I don't like it, I wont feel as guilty. If you have used it tell me what you think about it.Off coarse I also registered for a crap load of diapers and wipes along with a double stroller and many other things. I had so much fun, I am so glad I did it. I do feel lucky to already have so much so these things are just like the icing on the cake :)

Grannys Window

About five years ago my husband pulled several windows off his Granny's old house. They have sat in our garage pretty much every since. I have been wanting to do something with these old windows forever but never got around to it. Now that I am crazy nesting lady I decided revamp one of the windows. First thing I did was tape off the two window I was wanting to make a chalk board. Then using chalk board paint I sprayed each panel....... Then using using a magnet sheet I cut to fit the size of a panel and glued the magnet sheet to the panel. I had first tired magnetic spray paint but it sucked so then I used the sheet and it was a little bit better but still not great!
Using craft rocks, scrapebooking paper, and round magnet I made some small magnets to use on this panel.... Then I used Mod Podge to cover the remaining panel in scrape booking paper.
I glued a cross to the center of the panel with that was covered with paper.
Added a iron handle.
Tied a eraser and chalk to the handle using ribbon.
Here is my finished product.......

I was not 100% happy with the magnet panel but I will be on the look out for something that might work a little better than the sheet or the paint.

I just love old stuff made new, we also have Granny's front door which I am currently working on and need some ideas for sweet verses about children. And we have her old screen door which I am using in the baby's room but have not started on it.

Poopoos favorite things!

My sweet boy has just a few things he is absolutely crazy about and ask for on a daily bases. It is amazing at the age of two that he has developed such an opinion and can no longer be easily tricked into something else. When the kid ask for Chocolate milk don't you dare bring him regular, trust me he knows the difference and has no problem expressing his feeling about it.

So obliviously that brings use to Poops first favorite thing........

Chocolate Milk or as he calls it Cha-Cha's

Poopoos next favorite thing is.......Chicken Nuggets, Paxton would eat these for breakfast, lunch and dinner if we allowed it. But what kid doesn't like chicken nuggets!

His 3rd most favorite thing is.......

Blue's Clues! We use to be obsessed with Elmo but every since he has discovered Blue, Elmo is old news.

Finally I saved the best for last!!!! We don't dare leave home with out this...........

Floppy Lumpy aka "Numps". As you can tell by the looks of him this is Poops favorite stuffed animal. You cant even get it away from him long enough to throw Numps in the washing machine. Paxton is beyond obsessed with this stuffed animal, I just pray "Please Jesus don't ever let him lose it".

What is your Kiddos favorite things?

Photo Friday Fun!!!!

It was so beautiful today me and Poops decided to go outside for some frugal fun!
We started the day with bubbles........

Then it was off to the sand box.......
And a sunny day would not be complete without sidewalk chalk.....

Poopoo had so much fun he didn't want to come inside and take a nap.........

But after a nice long rest he was up and ready to start his own band...........Happy Photo Friday Y'all!

My Wheels are Spinning....But I Need Your Help!

I got my crafty wheels spinning. I have so many ideas and projects I am starting today. I cant wait to share them all with you, I am so excited I just hope my visions turn out the way I have planned.
One of my projects is a old door that I am going to use to display my sweet babies photos. The only thing I am having trouble deciding is what Bible verse to write on it.
I was considering using this one......
I have prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.
1 Samuel 1:27
Do you have any great verses about kids that you could share to help me decided?

SHHHH!!!!!!

I saw this super cute pillow on another blog Our Journey. When I saw the picture of this pillow I just had to have one! Then I thought to myself, instead of going on what would probably be a endless search to find one "Why not make a pillow". So that is exactly what I did................. Of coarse I had to add my own southern flair to it........So what do y'all think?
