Making Use of a Rainy Week

I know, I know you are all tired of hearing about the baby's room. It has done nothing but rain and has been so cold the last three days and I have been stuck in doors. I made use of my rainy days by working on a few projects for the nursery........
My first project was this picture frame to show off Mini Poops first baby pictures.

I bought a $4 craft frame, scrape book paper, & paint. I used Mod Podge to glue the paper to the frame and then seal over the top of the frame. I wrote a sweet little saying on the front of the frame, which would look better if I didn't write like a first grader.......

Then I hung up my farmer sign I made a couple weeks ago, a star that I got from my super sweet next door neighbor, and a black tin shelf that use to be in Paxtons room......

My favorite project so far is the baby's name. I use fabric backed with card board and cutout the letters o his name. I then used hemp ropes and clothes pins to hang the letters. I hung the rope on the crib just to take a picture it will eventually go above the crib on the tin wall.

I moved Paxtons rocking chair in the baby's room so when I was in the nursery with Ian he could sit next to us. I thought it would be cute to make a pillow for the rocking chair to match the room....

I used a old pillow I had laying around the house and some extra fabric I had left over from the letters.....

Again using left over fabric from the letter I decided to cover some cloth diapers to match the room and placed them in the bucket I purchased for my homemade cookie Bouquet.....

Next I went to work on this super cheap $10 lamp I purchased at Walmart........I covered the shade with fabric then trimmed in it with some fuzzy fridge......

I also spray painted these iron star hooks that I am going to use as curtain rod holders. I would of gone ahead and hung the curtains but since it is not a good idea for my big fat pregnant butt to be up on a ladder I decided to wait and let my hubby do it......The last two things I didn't make but I am so excited about because they match his room perfect. I bought this super cute cow hamper at a Lonestar Baby for only $15. I LOVE IT!!!!!This Little people barn is probably the coolest thing in his whole room. Its is a special edition set that is made to look vintage. I first saw this in Parents magazine and was going to order it but when I was at Target the other day I found this one.... I am sooooo excited about his vintage barn toy !!!!Everything is really coming together so cute! Believe it or not I still have tons to do, I just cant wait for that final finishing detail ,Baby Ian!
