Easy Flat Iron Curls

Today I looked up on You Tube how to curl hair using a flat iron. I know what you are thinking, I am a hairstylist and should already know how to do this trick. Well the flat iron didn't become popular till way after I was out of hair school and for some reason or another I haven't updated my flat ironing skills. All that changed today after watching these videos (the last one u need to listen closely because she talks so soft).......

And here is how it turned out......

Simple & Sassy......Have fun trying it out for yourself :)

I know I am definatly faster at the old school Marcel, I guess we need to join the new generation of hairdresser lol! I think its something I will definatly learn to master even though I rarely ever do updos anymore! By the way I need you to highlight my hair, I miss your work girl :)

I love it! I have just recently (the last couple of weeks) started experimenting that way myself! And I have been doing hair for over a decade now! It also works really well to just throw in a couple of soft waves on little girls hair styles too! :) Without the pouf!

Your hair looks great. I'm definitely going to watch those videos. I use my flat iron all the time, without it I would look pretty scary. I never curl my hair because I am hopeless with curling irons, but maybe I'll give the flat iron curls a shot. I am sick of having flat, boring hair!

Hi April
a friend directed me to your blog... I am interested in purchasing a flat iron now- I want something good that will make my hair look natural - not split ends. what do you suggest & where am I best off buying it?
thanks
Rubi

Rubi I use a Chi iron, the Baby Bliss is also a greet iron. U can fond them at Ulta. Off coarse any type of heat u put on your hair can damage it, so be sure and use a heat protectent product before using the iron!

thanks... still got some questions.. fristly what is a good heat protectant...? and i dont see any of the items you told me to get ( chi or babybliss) on ulta, any other places? cheap ones please

I have used many different brands as far as heat protecters, a good cheap one is Friz-ezs (spell?) and you can get that at the grocery store. Cheap irons are a gamble I have had several clients spend tons of money on several cheap irons before finally caving in and buying a good iron. All I would tell u is to get a ceramic for sure! Hope that helps:)
