Diaper Deal or Dud!!!

Before my Recent Quest to be a more frugal girl I only used Pampers Diapers,.I was told so many others that Pampers were the best (and most expensive might I add). Now I have branched out and tried several different bands of Diapers. I always assumed the store brand Diapers were not as great as the name brand diapers, I can defiantly admit when I am wrong! So using trial and error this is my deal or dud opinion.......

Lets start with what use to be my Favorite...

Pampers- My son has worn Pampers since birth. We have only had a few overflow problems but I don't know if that can be blamed on the diaper itself. Pampers Fit well, and can absorb allot my only complaint is that the lining balls up over night when it gets to moist almost like dissolving toilet paper, It can be kind of a mess to clean up. For the Cost at around $10 a pack this is an OK DEAL!

Huggies- Not my first pick, They don't fit my son right and leak. They are OK to use during the day but at night I would prefer to use a more absorbent diaper since my son sleep for 11 hours straight. Since these run the exact same price as Pampers and are not nearly as great I think they are a DUD!

CVS Brand Diapers- These are OK Diapers if you can score some ECBs when buying them otherwise I wouldn't purchase them. They are really absorbent so that's a plus. My problem with the CVS brand diapers is that they are really really stiff and the straps come undone really easy. They are priced at $7.99 and I think are a DISAPPOINTING DUD!

Luvs- I was pleasantly surprised by these diapers. The only reason I purchased them was because I had a $5.00 off coupon (go here to get $1 off coupon). I didn't think I would like these because I had heard not so great things. But I will tell you this is my Favorite. They are Light weight but really absorbent and are really soft. Priced at $7.49 a pack this is a AWESOME DEAL!

Walgreens Brand Diapers- Again surprised! This Brand is very similar to the Luvs diapers, Light weight, very absorbent and really soft. They are normally priced at $7.99 but Walgreens runs great sales on there diapers so you can stock up for very little out of Pocket (check out this post to see how to get them for $1.49 a pack), I think That Walgreens Diapers are the BEST DEAL!!

I have not yet tried the any other Store Brands or the Playschool Brand. If you have these Brands or any other Diaper Brands let me know what you think!!

none of my boys have ever been able to use Huggies, for the same reason. We use the Walmart brand a lot, and have had no problems. With my first we used nothing buy Pampers, as well as with our second until the baby was born. Now that both baby M and J are roughly the same size ( weird I know) we go with the best deal, it's not easy having two in diapers

I hated Huggies also! My husbands boss had bought us a case and I more or less 'wasted' them to hurry and use them all. They were NOT absorbent and I used Walmart brand. luvs were my second choice.
Thankfully we've been out of diapers for quite a few years :)

Hey girl I've tried them all and -Walmart's brand is definitely our choice--CVS brand were awful and seemed too small or something!

I too used the Walmart brand for all my kids. I had a hard time paying the prices of the name brands for something that my kids would just pee and poop in. Talk about flushing money down the toilet. LOL!!

When both my boys were in diapers I would buy the Babies R Us/Toys R Us brand. I could get them for $7 off each box when they put them on sale and it made them REALLY cheap. They are great diapers, especially the supremes. The day after Thanksgiving they had them $10 a box so I bought enough to get my son through to being potty trained!

I used the Member's Mark brand from Sam's and they were ok, seemed to do the job. But that was before I was a couponer and now I get them wherever they are the cheapest. I have to agree, I think WALGREENS diapers are GREAT. I bought another 4 packs last night :)
